Title Buzz – Episode 2

Returning in episode 2 of Title Buzz is Richard Barbara, Principal, to discuss Governor Rick Scott’s signing of the estoppel reform bill into law. Traditionally a problematic and costly component of a real estate transaction that involves a condo association or a homeowners association; this new law will require the estoppel be provided within 10 days of the request, caps the amount that these associations can charge for estoppel certificates, and provides uniformity in the use and application of estoppel certificates. The signing of the bill signifies a win for Florida property owners in the form of simplified and streamlined transactions.
